Therapy for Women: Boundaries, Trust, and Relationship Support

Online Anxiety Therapist Colorado

I work with adults who feel drained, anxious, or stuck in their relationships. Maybe you find yourself walking on eggshells, overgiving, or struggling to say no without guilt. Past hurts or betrayals may make it difficult to trust others, leaving you unsure about how to navigate your relationships. You’re not alone, and therapy can help. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns keeping you stuck and create practical strategies to feel safe, confident, and empowered in your relationships.

Credentials / Professional Background:

I am Kristina Carrera, LCSW, LAC, DVCS, with a background in the behavioral health field dating back to 2008. Since then, I have been supporting adults through relational anxiety, trust challenges, and boundary struggles. I integrate evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and attachment-focused therapy, with a warm, client-centered approach. My goal is to help you feel grounded, empowered, and able to create relationships that are emotionally safe and fulfilling.

My Approach to Therapy:

My approach is collaborative, practical, and compassionate. Therapy with me is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s keeping you stuck, process past experiences, and develop strategies that fit your life. Together, we focus on:

  • Setting strong, healthy boundaries without guilt

  • Rebuilding trust in yourself and others

  • Reducing relational anxiety and overthinking

  • Strengthening confidence and emotional safety

I tailor every session to your needs, whether that’s learning a new skill, processing a challenging experience, or simply having space to be heard. My goal is to help you feel empowered, secure, and confident in all your relationships.

What Makes My Practice Unique:

I specialize in working with adults navigating relationship anxiety, trust issues, and boundary struggles. I combine structured, evidence-based strategies with a relational, empathetic approach, helping you not only learn tools but experience meaningful change in how you relate to yourself and others. Every client’s journey is unique, and I meet you where you are—emotionally, mentally, and personally.

Who I Work Best With:

I work best with adults who are ready to break old relational patterns, reclaim their voice, and strengthen their emotional safety. If you’ve felt stuck in cycles of people-pleasing, overgiving, or relational anxiety, therapy can help you create confidence, clarity, and healthier, more fulfilling connections.
